This stay at a hotel was probably the biggest disappointment of hotel visits I have had, not just in Mauritius but anywhere.
To give you context I know the Hilton hotel chain very well and have stayed in many all over the world. Indeed, I lived in Hilton apartments for 3 years whilst in Dubai so I know what high standards they do achieve and what 5-star delivery is.
The full review is available with the link below and I do believe you have to give some leniency for the fact the world was in lockdown but the hotel itself seems to have been unloved by Hilton for some years now due to the state of its appearance and quality of service.
