Which of the 50 US states do you consider most worthy of a first trip, and why?

So I’ve been slowly planning my first real trip to the US, and the more I read, the harder it gets to choose. Years ago I only connected the States with movies and big cities, but now I see how different each state can be. A friend of mine went to California for his first visit and couldn’t stop talking about the mix of ocean, cities, and nature. That got me thinking: if you’re going there for the very first time, which state actually gives you the best overall experience without feeling overwhelming?

From my side, I think the best first choice is the one that lets you see different sides of the country in one trip. When I was choosing for myself, I looked at landscapes, cities, food, and how easy it is to move around. I found this article called Top 6 US States Every Tourist Should Visit, and it helped me narrow things down because it explains why places like California, Florida, and New York work so well for first-timers, especially if you want variety without rushing too much.
