About Pont Naturel

Pont Naturel is an attraction located in the south of Mauritius, one of many distinctive sites that make Mauritius one of the Indian Ocean's most rewarding destinations.

Pont Naturel is a natural rock formation shaped like a bridge, where waves crash dramatically against the cliffs. It’s a stunning and tranquil spot for nature lovers and photographers.

Mauritius packs a remarkable density of experiences into its 1,865 km² — world-class beaches protected by coral reefs, dramatic volcanic landscapes in the Black River Gorges, an extraordinary multicultural heritage spanning Hindu, Muslim, Creole, and European traditions, and an offshore island network offering pristine marine environments.

The island's small size means that day trips from anywhere on the island to any attraction are feasible — the drive from the north to the south coast takes around 90 minutes on a good day. A hire car is the most flexible way to explore, though guided excursions are available for most major attractions.

Best time to visit Mauritius: June–September for the clearest weather, lowest humidity, and most reliable trade winds — ideal for watersports and outdoor activities. The summer months (December–March) are hotter and wetter, with cyclone risk, but the lush green landscape and empty beaches are their own reward. Shoulder months (April–May and October–November) offer good value and pleasant conditions.
