Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital is the Mauritius outpost of one of South Asia's largest ophthalmology chains, bringing a volume-driven, specialist approach to eye care that sits between the public hospital ophthalmology departments and the higher-cost private hospital eye units. The Quatre Bornes clinic, near the Ebène corridor, is the main location and offers a full range of ophthalmic services: comprehensive eye examination, contact lens fitting, spectacle prescription, cataract surgery using phacoemulsification and premium intraocular lens implants, LASIK and laser vision correction, glaucoma management, diabetic retinopathy screening and laser treatment, and retinal surgery.

Cataract surgery is the procedure most commonly sought at Dr Agarwals by Mauritian patients and expatriates who want a cost-effective alternative to the waiting list at public hospitals or the higher fees at C-Care and Artemis. The phacoemulsification technique used — small-incision, sutureless — allows same-day discharge in most cases, with patients returning to light activities within 24–48 hours.
