Mont Choisy Le Golf is one of the newer additions to the Mauritius golf landscape, an 18-hole Peter Matkovich design that opened in 2017 within the Mont Choisy Le Parc luxury residential estate on the north coast. The course plays through a mix of open fairways and tree-lined corridors with views of the north coast lagoon and, from the higher points, the distinctive profile of Coin de Mire island.

Matkovich designed the course to work with the gently rolling topography of the north coast interior — there are more elevation changes than the typical north coast flat, which gives the layout variety and requires more thought on approach angles. The greens are large and contoured, rewarding approach shots to the correct sector; the bunker positions are strategic rather than penal.

The course is built to championship standard with TifEagle bermuda grass greens that provide fast, true putting surfaces. The maintenance is excellent — the turfgrass team manages the fairways and greens to international tournament quality. The driving range is one of the best on the island, with a grass tee area and targets at measured distances.

Non-resident access is available by booking tee times through the clubhouse. The club is less crowded than the east coast resort courses, which means better availability at premium times and a more relaxed atmosphere overall. The clubhouse restaurant has a pleasant terrace. Mont Choisy is conveniently close to Grand Baie, making it the most accessible course for visitors staying on the north coast.
