Royal College Curepipe
Established in 1791, Royal College Curepipe (RCC) is the most prestigious state secondary school in Mauritius. Known for exceptionally high admission standards and a long tradition of producing laureates of the Higher School Certificate, RCC consistently ranks among the top academic institutions on the island. The iconic granite building, styled after Buckingham Palace and completed in 1914, is a national heritage site. Since 2021, RCC has operated as an academy, admitting both male and female students with outstanding results at the National Certificate of Education, ensuring a tradition of excellence continues.

RCC offers a broad and rigorous curriculum spanning sciences, humanities and the arts, led by dedicated educators. The college consistently achieves top-tier results—with multiple Higher School Certificate laureates each year, including 15 laureates in 2024, making it a powerhouse of academic performance.
